Purpose

The Macomb Reading Council is the local chapter of the Michigan Reading Association. Our purpose is to offer opportunities for educators to connect with colleagues who share an interest in literacy so that all students, preK-12, have the opportunity to become productive members of society through reading and writing.

Meeting Dates

Board meeting dates are held the second Monday of September, November, February, March, and June at the Macomb Intermediate School District. Meetings are open to all interested educators. You may contact any Board member for the specific time and room number.

Membership Information

Annual dues are $5.00, which entitles members to a reduced rate for MRC events (Young Authors' Dinner excluded) and to receive the MRC Connection which is published in the fall and spring. Membership also offers an avenue for networking with colleagues throughout the county! Check out the membership page for registration information.
